AEMP (Association of Equipment Management Professionals), an organization for asset management professionals of off-road fleets, introduces the industry's first online learning center designed specifically for those practicing the art and science of fleet asset management. The program, AEMP University, officially launched at the 29th annual Spring Management Conference, held in conjunction last month with the CONEXPO-CON/AGG tradeshow in Las Vegas.
AEMP University is an online-based education program that provides participants with the same high-quality learning opportunities and peer-to-peer interaction found in traditional schools, yet in a format that's convenient, flexible and financially-viable. AEMP Vice-President of Education Jim Phillips explained the reasoning behind the design of AEMPU, and the need for this type of higher-learning institute for the industry.
"Evolving economic conditions have challenged the traditional paradigm of education," Phillips said. "More often, the constraints of time and financial resources are impacting how a learner receives and utilizes education. AEMPU was designed to address those issues, while still providing a quality educational opportunity for our industry's professionals who are seeking advanced knowledge."
